One of those bad days
Today was not a great one for me. I disappointed someone who is very dear to my heart and I lost their trust, by not truly living out my dream, I lost focus of my loved ones dream. At first I was feeling down and out, but then I remembered what learned on Oprah’s lifeclass tour. I dealt with what was bothering me deep down inside. By not holding it in anymore, I felt a release. I “Let it go” and I’m able to truly move on and redeem myself with the loved one I disappointed.
The True Issue
My spirit was almost broken for not being honest with my self, finally after all these years. I’ve come to realize that after accomplishing all my goals at 27, you know the ones going to school getting a degree, moving out of my parents house, getting married and having a baby before I turned 30. Once I met all my goals I’ve been wondering around for years trying to set goals again that I felt again would make everyone proud of me. By doing this and not pushing for things that I truly dreamed of doing deep down in my heart, have made fools of the new goals I’ve tried to achieve to my make others proud of me. I’ve been denying my true destiny.
So what am I going to do now?
I’m going to take the advice I learned from T.D. Jakes and Oprah, and go for the dreams that I really desire in my heart. First is to continue to build this blog into the vision that I had months ago. Second start satisfying my need to create art, I was very passionate about it as a child and a teenager. To stop letting that voice in the back of my head that my art isn’t going to get me any where. Third I’ve always had a desire to travel the world and learn about different cultures and use my medical knowledge and volunteer to help people.
Conclusion
So my bad day has turned into a positive and I’m going to keep that momentum and press on

Atlanta Mom here : ) Its a beautiful Saturday here but I can’t help
but to think of those that didn’t get the chance to see another day. I
know I was supposed to talk about the Zimmerman fiasco but its really weighing on my heart the 2-year old Texas boy that has been missing for 4 days now.
Apparently it was reported that the mother failed a polygraph.
Hmmmmm…. Really? O_o Thats a shocker. Who the hell goes to asleep while your 2 year old just wanders around the house? My daughter is 4 and even she has a few years to go before I even consider letting her just sit quietly to watch cartoons. Sad to say kids are shifty and sneaky these days including my own from time to time. I remember this time Kayla wanted a fruit snack and I told her she had to finish her lunch first. A little time passes and she comes to me, doesnt say anything and hands me her plate. I praise her for finishing her lunch and give her the snacks. Come to find out when I go to straighten the living room there is a cup behind the t.v. with her lunch in it. Sneaky!
You keep an eye on your kids at all times. If you feel like
something is amiss it probably is. Thats the thing called mothers
intuition. Even when Kayla and I are asleep at night my body will
still wake me up to make sure she is all right.
I tell you one thing it seems like the law is continously turning a
blind eye and picking and choosing who they are going to prosecute in
these supposed disappearances and abductions. People like the Ramsey’s and Casey Anthony are making it seem easy to have a ”I don’t know what happened” story. To many of these stories are popping up. I for one am sick of hearing no real justice for these children. If you don’t want your children then the solution is simple, Don’t have any! If by chance you do have children and you can’t cut it, either get help or there is always the adoption/foster system. Stop killing your children. They’re lives are not yours to take even if you’re fed up with them.
Casey Anthony may have slipped through last year but 2012 is a new
year. People are still pissed off at that outcome and Ms. Texas mom
you better believe its a wrap for you.

Mommy in Atlanta
Atlanta Mom has arrived !! : ) I’m super excited about doing my first
blog for all of you today. Believe me when I tell you I have so much
to get off my chest daily. Can’t always promise you I will always be
polite, politically correct or censored but thats why these are my
thoughts and my life. Love it or leave it.
Want to know a little about me?For starters my name is Patricia. I
am a single mother of 2. A boy named Kwali(10) and a girl named
Kayla(4). You wouldn’t believe I’m in the over 30 club. lol. Its in
my genes courtesy of the grandmother I was named after.
Hmmm…What else?Oh! Engaged.Married. Divorced. Bad 5 year
realtionship…(We’ll go in on the men in my life at another date ; ).
Obviously I live in atlanta but I’m a west coast girl at heart.
Everyone here keeps saying “Well you’ve lived here for almost 6 years
that makes you a georgia peach”. O_o I tell you one thing, this
westerner ain’t claiming it.
Now I will admit there was a movie that had me craving to be a
southerner, maybe you remember Eve’s Bayou?( Megan Goode starred in
it) Well i just knew I’d be sitting on someone’s porch drinking
lemonade, eating frog legs and talking to somebodys old voodoo
grandma. I was in for a rude slap in the face.
Needless to say that was just a movie and this South wasn’t one I
bargained on. So if you’re interested in my journey stick around a bit
while I talk about life, love, family, t.v. and all the ignorant crazy
mess in between. Stay tuned while I go in on this Zimmerman crap
tomomorrow. : (
The Atlanta Mom
Workout tip # 1
Ladies if your anything like me, you hate the dreaded squat routine. I’ve always struggled with doing this routine, that was until I got a great tip from one of bodyrock.tv new host Lisa-Marie. Lisa suggested that you do your squat thrust while brushing your teeth in the morning and at night. That by doing this your actually getting the right amount of time that dentist advise you to brush your teeth. I’m very thankful that Body Rock has Lisa-Marie on board her positive energy is totally infectious,and that energy really pushes you to do your best in your workouts.

Attention All SuperMommy’s
The importance of taking care of your health and well being is very important. Make sure that you get annual check up’s and remember to follow your intuition when it comes to your body. You know better than anyone when something doesn’t feel right with your body. To all of those like myself find hard to cover the cost insurance for you family let alone yourself, many states do have free clinics that can treat minor and sometimes serious medical issues. To those with insurance, don’t let stuff go just because your trying to be superwoman. You will be of no use to your family if your laying in the hospital, because of not taking care of a medical problem. Take care of yourself, so that you can truly take care of the people that matter the most to you.
